3. REFLECT
[by April 3]

In order to help participants in the Forum begin to be introduced to one another and to our common work, please reflect on the following questions and post your answers using the link below. Your responses will be printed in the Forum Directory for other participants to read.

You were invited to attend this conference because your work has taught you something about excellence in ministry. Imagine that you have written a book about how you are cultivating excellence in ministry from the place or position where you are located:

    •  What is the title of the book?

    •  What is the summary of the book on its dust jacket? (limit 300 words)

    •  What might be some of the chapter titles (3-5 titles)?

    •  What does your bio on the back cover of the book say? (limit 300 words)

4. READ

Over the next few weeks, you will receive two books in the mail direct from the publishers. These books are intended to be used as ways to enter into the space and conversation of the Forum. Accompanying the books will be some guiding questions to focus your reading. While we know time is short, we hope you will read Resurrecting Excellence: Shaping Faithful Christian Ministry and God’s Potters: Pastoral Leadership and the Shaping of Congregations prior to the Forum.

5. GET READY!

About two weeks prior to the Forum, you will receive the conference workbook. In it will be the directory information and reflections submitted by each participant. Please plan to read through the information and think about who you would like to meet at the conference. There will be a message board at the registration desk to help you make those connections.
